Purpose and Scope
The Content Associate Manager is responsible for orchestrating the content and omnichannel strategy to ensure consistent, customer-centric, and impactful engagement across brands and therapeutic areas. The role enhances Astellas’ ability to meet diverse customer needs by translating brand strategies and customer segment frameworks into integrated content and campaign plans that deliver tailored messaging through differentiated and competitive materials for omnichannel execution. As part of the Commercial Excellence team, and in close collaboration with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other key stakeholders, the Content Associate Manager oversees content planning, development, approval, and distribution, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with global ways of working and local business objectives. In addition to development and execution, the Content Associate Manager monitors content performance metrics and, in partnership with Analytics and other stakeholders, drives optimization of current campaign materials while embedding learnings into future content and campaign executions. The scope of this role is local to the country affiliate and operates in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, requiring strong delivery capability and management of multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
Role and Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute omnichannel campaigns in line with brand and therapeutic area strategies.
- Ensure integration and consistency of content, key messages, and customer journeys across channels (CRM, Marketo emails, websites, social media, webinars, etc.).
- Accountable for content development activities as part of the local Brand teams in Marketing.
- Accountable for the efficient utilization of content development budget balancing the need for net new creation against the adaptation and derivative creation and re-use of existing materials or assets.
- Accountable for driving an accelerated speed to market and seeking process efficiencies in the development and approval processes for content while remaining 100% in compliance.
- Accountable for proper content technology application and usage such as Promomats for all required content steps, including usage of Make a copy for content reuse, Brand Portals, and other process-related adoption for content excellence and organization standards.
- Responsible for developing campaigns, content, and assets that meet the defined needs of target customer profiles leveraging insights and key messaging and claims as outlined in the Omnichannel Engagement Framework (OEF) and content management system.
- Responsible for omnichannel campaign planning in partnership with Brand team, agencies, and others as needed to ensure seamless integration and application of content into all external-facing channels (i.e. Websites, HCP Portals, Social Media, and Field Force-led channels).
Continue: Role and Responsabilities
- Responsible for compliant execution and continuous optimization of internal processes around content planning, content creation, content production, MLR review and approval, and content distribution.
- Drive Global for Local (G4L) content re-use in the affiliate including as a key partner for co-creation of content with Global SBM team, ensuring local teams’ contribution to and/or leverage of global brand portals and make a copy functionality to enable measurement of G4L.
- Responsible to analyze content effectiveness based on available performance and engagement data to generate insights and enable data-driven decision making that optimizes ongoing campaigns and future content creation.
- Primary point of contact for the Omnichannel Content Factory and MXM to ensure quality, operational efficiency, and timely delivery of compelling content.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing, omnichannel operations, or digital’s agencies related in digital marketing field.
- Proven experience using data, analytics, and insights to inform decision-making and optimize content or campaign performance.
- Experience within pharmaceutical brand teams or in content creation, brand marketing, digital strategy, or multi-channel execution roles.
- Strong understanding of innovation in content strategy, modular content approaches, and evolving trends in content operations.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong presentation and influencing capabilities, with the ability to engage senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Strategy, or related field.
- Previous experience in omnichannel content roles within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or marketing industries—or in an advertising/marketing agency environment.
- Background in marketing or communications within healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
- Familiarity with the Legal, Medical, and Regulatory (LMR) review process and local compliance frameworks.
- Innovative thinker with a strong grasp of digital transformation initiatives, marketing technology platforms, and workflow optimization tools.
- Up-to-date knowledge of emerging digital and content technologies, marketing automation, and analytics platforms.
