Location and Working Environment

  • This position is based in Mexico City and will require hybrid work.

Purpose and Scope

The position is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of Microsoft Teams Rooms across the organization. This role supports high-quality video conferencing experiences by managing room technology, assisting users, and troubleshooting issues in real-time. The operator serves as a key point of contact for meeting support, ensuring that collaboration spaces are optimized for productivity and reliability.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage Microsoft Teams Rooms to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Provide remote real-time support for meetings, including setup, troubleshooting, and escalation as needed.
  • Maintain and update room systems, including hardware (cameras, microphones, displays) and software (Teams Room app, firmware).
  • Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
  • Conduct routine checks and preventative maintenance to minimize disruptions.
  • Assist users with scheduling, joining, and managing Teams meetings in room environments.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes in accordance with IT service management practices.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Teams Room updates, features, and best practices.
  • Support hybrid work initiatives by ensuring meeting equity and accessibility across Teams Rooms.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms or similar video conferencing platforms.
  • Strong understanding of AV technologies, including cameras, microphones, speakers, and displays.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, and Windows-based systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with platform monitoring, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Teams Rooms certification or equivalent technical training.
  • Familiarity with enterprise networking concepts related to Teams performance (QoS, bandwidth planning).
  • Experience in large-scale Teams deployments and migrations.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Experience with agile delivery practices.
