Working Environment and Location

  • This is a student placement position, must be in 3rd year of relevant level 7 course.
  • Position is based in Kilorglin, Ireland.
  • This position is fully onsite.
  • Placement run’s from Jan 27 – Aug 27.

Purpose and Scope

Supply Chain activities relating to pharmaceutical products in compliance with Astellas quality procedures and regulatory requirements. Supply Chain functions ensuring Purchasing and Planning tasks are completed.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Operations: Support day-to-day supply chain activities, including material planning, inventory management, purchasing, logistics, and coordination of materials required for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Data & Systems: Maintain accurate supply chain data and records within relevant systems, supporting reporting, analysis, and identification of supply or inventory issues.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Work collaboratively with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, and other teams to help ensure materials are available when required and production schedules are supported.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist with supply chain projects and process improvements, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support a reliable, compliant, and patient-focused supply chain.

Essential Qualifications

  • Studying a 3rd level degree in Business/Scientific or Technical discipline.
