Working Environment and Location

• This is a permanent, full-time, field-based position in Italy, with approximately 60% travel within the country.
• Location of the office: Milan.

Purpose and Scope

• Be a trusted advisor for scientific exchange with Key External Experts (KEEs) and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Generate medical insights through the collection of field-based data.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders within and outside of Medical Affairs.
• Execute the tactical field plans for engagement with the medical and scientific community for assigned products.

Role and Responsibilities

• Engage in scientific exchange in which knowledge about product(s), disease(s) and therapeutic areas is shared to ensure safe and effective use of Astellas products.
• Engage in discussions on emerging trends in dieasease management, treatment approaches and the evolving therapeutic landscape.
• Maintain relationships with external stakeholders through one-to-one and group interactions, demonstrating strong scientific expertise and a clear understanding of stakeholder needs.
• Maintain up-to-date medical, scientific, and clinical knowledge to enable credible peer-to-peer scientific exchange.
• Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and sustain a thorough understanding of the local healthcare environment, system dynamics, and evolving healthcare landscape.
• Support Medical Education activities.
• Proactively identify and engage with future stakeholders (KEEs, Nurses, Pharmacists and other healthcare professionals) in alignment with local health care system.

Essential Qualifications

• Significant experience in lung cancer, with a deep understanding of the clinical landscape.
• 2-4+ years of MSL experience.
• An established network of Lung Cancer KOLs and clinicians.
• Fluent Italian and English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational Background: MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent.
• Clinical research experience.
