Location and Working Environment

  • This position is based in Brazil and will require on-site work at AFB Brazil Laboratory.

Purpose and Scope

Perform the quality control analysis for the products which will be released to the Brazilian market; and ensure all Astellas products, personnel and third parties are conform to local and company GxP requirements. 

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform the chemical analysis. 
  • Perform the microbiologic analysis. 
  • Validate the microbiologic methods.
  • Perform Analytical Tech Transfers. 
  • Performing training methods. 
  • Assure the correctly laboratory equipment function. 
  • Control the stock of reagents, standards and materials.  
  • Review the documentation from the maintenance/qualification of the equipment by the suppliers. 
  • Follow the maintenance/qualification of the equipment by the suppliers.
  • Contact the suppliers in order to have additional information about the function of the equipment. 
  • Contact suppliers in order to purchase reagents/materials.  
  • Intern training MB and Quemical methods.
  • Intern training Identification methods and general and specific equipment. 
  • Ensure local GxP procedures are maintained following Astellas procedures and local legislation. 
  • ​Perform products Trend of Analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy with a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience, including chemical and microbiologic knowledge. 
  • ​This position requires HPLC/GC knowledge, (prefer) Waters System. 
  • ​Method transfer validation and equipment maintenance experience.  
  • ​Intermediate/advanced written and spoken English language.  
  • ​GxP advanced knowledge.

  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with peers.    
  • ​Ability to explain and discuss analytical methods.   
  • ​Ability to manage multiple tasks, in a timely and positive manner.  
  • ​Computer literacy.
