Purpose and Scope

• Trusted partner for scientific exchange to Key External Experts (KEEs) as well as internal/external stakeholders throughout product life cycle.

• Responsibility in obtaining intelligence from the field to support/facilitate medical insights generation and to gear it in the brand strategy.

•Work in matrix with high level of collaboration with stakeholders in Astellas.

• Lead, execute and support the field medical tactics with high level of compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and map the KEE relevant to responsible brand/TA.
• Plan and execute the KEE engagement activities leveraging key data read out, key brand milestone, or any other scientific momentum.
• Keep monitor the treatment landscape evolution in responsible area as well as health care environment.
• Manage and hit the field KPI with high level of quality.   
• Develop, train, and shape up the advocacy of KEE throughout strong field engagement plan.
• KEE engages in scientific exchange in which high level knowledge about product(s), disease(s) and therapeutic areas is shared to ensure clinical value of Astellas products/trials.
• Lead discussions with KEE regarding landscapes and trends evolution in disease management.
• The discussion could be in either one-on-one interactions or group settings. It is to (but not limited to) demonstrate an excellent scientific and clinical knowledge as well as an understanding unmet patients’ needs and remaining scientific question.
• Maintain medical and scientific knowledge and staying current to enable peer-to-peer scientific exchange.
• Demonstrates high level of proficiency in interpersonal skills to engage effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide trainings for internal colleagues in alignment with brand strategies.
• Keen to expand stakeholders (KEEs, Nurses, Pharmacists etc.) in alignment with local health care system.

Essential Qualifications

• Scientifically qualified (PharmD or a degree in Life/Health Sciences or a related biological science field).
• 1–5 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry; MSL background or experience in medically relevant activities is highly preferred.
