Purpose and Scope
The Regional Field Medical Affairs Lead, Lung Cancer Int-M is responsible for building trusted scientific relationships with key external experts, oncology healthcare professionals, and cross-functional internal stakeholders across the International Markets region. The role supports the execution of regional medical strategy by communicating accurate, balanced, and scientifically robust information related to lung cancer, including emerging treatment approaches, biomarker-driven care, and unmet patient needs.
The Regional Field Medical Affairs Lead, Lung Cancer Int-M is also accountable for leading the development and execution of the regional medical engagement strategy including direct key external expert engagement for the Int-M region and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders on regional and global level.

- Ensure all MA deliverables are scientifically / medically valid and bring value to patients
- Creation of the strategic regional KEE field medical engagement plan
Reporting to the Head, Regional MA Brand Strategy, Int-M, the Lead serves as a critical strategic partner to both Global Brand Teams, regional and local Affiliates, ensuring that medical priorities are integrated into the brand planning cycle (from asset identification to commercialization) to optimize patient outcomes and portfolio value
Role and Responsibilities
- The development of a regional field medical engagement plan in close collaboration with global and regional medical teams, country medical affiliate leaders and other stakeholders.
- Together with the global teams, is responsible for developing medical objectives and aligning regional KPIs
- Engage regional lung cancer experts and oncology stakeholders through compliant scientific exchange.
- Identify and escalate clinical insights, evidence gaps, and local educational needs to inform global medical strategy.
- Communicate disease-state, product, pipeline, and clinical data in a balanced and scientifically credible manner.
- Support or lead congresses, advisory boards, investigator interactions, and medical education activities as appropriate including being accountable for oversight and execution of appropriate MA congress planning in alignment with global, regional, and affiliate MA organization to ensure effective congress management
- Partner with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, Market Access, and affiliate teams to support aligned execution of regional medical plans.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the evolving lung cancer treatment landscape, including biomarker testing, targeted therapies, immunotherapy, clinical guidelines, and competitive developments.
- Partner with global and regional MA leaders to ensure execution of strategic plans for the Brand that are aligned with the global Core Medical Plan (CMP) and where applicable, the integrated Global Brand Plan (iGBP).
- Lead training and/or training content for future Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs)/Medical Leads and broader organization as required.

Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: MD, PhD in health-related science, PharmD
- MS health-related sciences will be considered with appropriate industry or scientific experience
- Minimum 10 years scientific/medical experience in research-based pharmaceutical industry in the areas of Medical Affairs and/or Medical Affairs & Development
- Strongly Desirable – Minimum 3 years of experience working in the lung cancer therapeutic area including strong lung cancer therapeutic area expertise, including NSCLC, molecular testing, emerging targeted therapies, and regional treatment practices
- Demonstrates strong capabilities such as leadership & decision making, communication & collaboration, strategic thinking, technical expertise, problem solving & adaptability.
- Excellent scientific communication, stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and insight-generation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment while maintaining high standards of compliance, ethics, and scientific integrity.
- Strong Working knowledge of regional Regulatory/Payer/HTA bodies, ICH GCP guidelines, Industry regulations, and quality standards
- Strong familiarity with biostatistical, clinical, health economics and outcomes research
- Strong business acumen, including knowledge of key financial metrics
- Ability to drive and manage change
- Have launch experience of a product
- Strong scientific analytical and problem-solving skills, strategic capabilities, project management, planning and organization skills with excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
- Driven, works autonomously, good prioritisation and planning capabilities
- Fluent in spoken and written business English
