Platform Engineer, DevOps Taiwan

Purpose and Scope

We are a global pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Japan and affiliates in approximately 70 countries around the world. We are looking for a local IT manager to work with us to plan, build, operate and improve systems that support Affiliates business in Taiwan and contribute to people's health.

Role and Responsibilities

As the local IT manager in Taiwan, you will oversee and operate the IT of the entire Taiwan affiliate>

・Perform daily system maintenance activities such as monitoring and managing the stable operation of Taiwan's IT infrastructure and local systems.

・Implementing system security measures and user account management.

・System upgrades, regular maintenance, system change management, and Creating and updating SOPs.

・Providing user support to respond to user inquiries and change requests.

・Procurement, asset management, and inventory of IT assets.

・Collaborate with relevant team to troubleshoot and rapid recovery response in the event of a system failure.

・Regular communication with major business departments, system improvement activities, and promotion of digital transformation

・Work with global system owners to support the introduction of global systems to affiliate and manage projects.

・Taiwan local IT annual planning, budget formulation, contract refresh and budget execution management.

Essential Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

・Graduated from a university related to information systems.

・Acquired information system related qualifications (Basic Information Technology Engineer, Applied Information Technology Engineer, ITIL related qualifications, security related qualifications, MS related qualifications, PMP etc,.)

・Experience in operating or building information systems in the pharmaceutical industry (GxP or None GxP).

・Experience in business application development and operation (5 years or more) or IT project management experience (5 years or more).

・Experience with agile system implementation and change management.

・Experience working with multinational members from the US, EMEA, Asia, China, India, etc.

・Experience in replacing local systems with global systems

・English ability (Native)

・Japanese ability (Business)

Experience

・Knowledge of system infrastructure such as servers, networks, database(SQL), and application system integration.

・High level of knowledge and awareness regarding system security.

・Experience in infrastructure or/and business application construction and operation (3 years or more) or IT project management experience (3 years or more)

・Experience managing IT subordinates as an IT manager (3 years or more).

・Ability to communicate smoothly with other stakeholders, such as business users and global system owners.

・Ability to troubleshoot and identify causes of infrastructure and application failures and derive solutions and countermeasures.

・Willingness to acquire new skills and knowledge to adapt to the rapid changing environment

・Taiwanese (Native)
