Working Environment and Location

  • This position is hybrid and will require you to be in our Vienna office 2 times/week.

Working Hours

  • This is a full-time, fixed term 18-month contract.

Purpose and Scope

  • This position supports the Affiliate controller to prepare historical financial records in accordance with all statutory, regulatory and group reporting requirements to ensure that the local business can securely continue operations.
  • It ensures that there is strong control environment over accounting, finance and tax processes and that relevant controls are effective and evidenced.
  • The role utilises provision of accounting entries from the Global General Accounting team to support the production of localised and accurate financial statements that are both timely and compliant with local statutory and tax regulations. 

Role and Responsibilities

       In this tole you will:

  • Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure IFRS and local compliance.
  • Manage statistical reporting, tax filings, and statutory submissions.
  • Perform key accounting calculations, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end close activities with global service providers.
  • Support statutory and tax audits, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of audit matters.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and J-SOX compliance.
  • Support transfer pricing activities and intercompany processes.
  • Ensure integrity and accessibility of accounting records.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, providing financial guidance and insights.
  • Support affiliate-specific finance activities and continuous process improvements.

Essential Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and German.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, statutory compliance, and controlling.
  • Experience of supporting audits and working with external auditors and tax authorities.
  • Prior experience in a multinational environment and matrix organization preferred.
  • Familiarity with Shared Service or Global Capability Centre collaboration models.
  • Transfer pricing, internal controls, Inter Company transactions experience.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, as well as local direct and indirect tax regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a multinational environment and matrix organization. 
  • Experience of intercompany transactions and corporate tax matters.
  • Experience with Power BI / BPC or similar tools.
